Skies, Beach, Sea, Camber Sands

30x30cm abstract impressionist painting.

My local beach is Camber Sands, near Rye in east Sussex. It is very wide and sandy - every time I visit I see different colours, shades, tone in the beautiful large expanse of sea and sand.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting. I also employ oil sticks to add both colour and texture to the canvas.

This 30x30cm landscape painting is acrylic on canvas. It’s unframed. It has white painted edges, and is strung with picture cord.
