Sandy is a landscape artist living and working in the beautiful Weald of Kent, in the UK. She has a studio in her garden, and works outside as much as possible. She follow the seasons in her abstracted and landscape paintings, allowing the colours and mood to seep into her paintings.
The play of light and shadow, and the in-the-moment experience of absorbing the world around her informs her work. She is also drawn by memories of a childhood spent outside, the visual impact and pleasure of that still resonates with her. She loves colour and texture and in her work is always attempting to use these elements to create a harmonious balance.
