An abstracted, impressionistic 90x90cm painting..

Dreamy abstractions are a love of Sandy's. Solving the puzzle of colour and shape is intriguing, and using colours together to create atmosphere and mood is a very important part of the process. This painting is inspired by Sandy's favourite blue/pink palette and by gentle dreamlike shapes and mid twentieth century colour field artist Mark Rothko's breathtaking immersive saturated artwork.

She uses many layers of paint to create a textured vibrant canvas surface. She also use paint mediums, textures and glosses to make the paint sing.
