Summer Fields

Abstract impressionist landscape, 50x60cm.

This painting, made en plein air in my local landscape. I live in rural kent, surrounded by fields and farmland. Summer feels very immediate and all encompassing  here. I find colours and inspiration from the natural world uplift me, and May in this beautiful area was truly inspiring!

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.
