Appledore

Abstract impressionist landscape, 70x100cm.

Appledore is a beautiful small village near Rye, and the Romney Marshes. I love the fields, skies, ditches and flowers that typify this unusual area. The subtle colours and distant vistas are very inspiring to me.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints and pigments, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.
