Towards Rye

Abstract impressionist landscape, 100x100cm.

Rye and it's enviroment have always fascinated me, the colours, open skies, marshes and distinctive coast are a draw, and the tough beautiful grasses that grow close to the coast is beautiful in any season - but especially autumn.

I use beautiful quality acrylic paints and pigments, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.
