New year, new prints

Happy New Year!

In the Christmas days I spent time reflecting on the year past and the year to come. I am so lucky to be painting every day, it brings me such joy. Communication with people via paintings is very special, and a gift to be treasured.

I am starting 2023 with several commissions, it's very exciting and I am full of inspiration and fresh thoughts. I am also launching two brand new prints, Spring Tapestry and Golden Hour. I am thrilled with the quality of photography and print, and very happy to add them to my website.

Spring Tapestry, available as a 30x30cm, 50x50cm, and 70x70cm print on both paper and mounted canvas. This will also be available as a hand embellished 70x70cm canvas.

The second print Golden Hour is a 20x40cm, 30x60cm and 40x80cm print on both paper and mounted canvas. This will also be available as a hand embellished 40x80cm canvas.

This comes from one my favourite paintings from 2022. I work in an intuitive way, and sometimes I finish a work session and quite surprised by what is on the canvas or paper, this definitely one of those times. The original painting is called Golden Meadowscape, and Saatchi Art sold it overnight for me, I have made a few tiny tweaks digitally and given it a new title too - Golden Hour. It refers to that magic time towards the end of an afternoon when sunlight becomes buttery, golden, evocative and transient. I am considering a series of Golden Hour paintings, I'll keep you posted.
