100x100cm commission, based on ideas and colours from my client's garden.

I enjoy taking commissions, it's lovely to make a real connection with a client, and to exchange thoughts and ideas about the painting. Please contact me for price and timing details. Read on for additional information about commissioning a painting.

Firstly, please contact me! EmailInstagram and Facebook  all work very well.

We can have a constructive chat about the sort of painting you would like. Take a look through my current and past portfolio for a starting point..

It's great to get a photo of where the painting might hang. Ideas for colours and dimensions of the painting will come from that. If not, then an idea of the kind of space you have is really handy and a few tips about which of my paintings you like. This gives me a feeling for the finished piece.

A discussion about colours is really important,  (pink or yellow may be beautiful for some people, and beyond horrible for others). Size of painting is obviously crucial. Using a large piece of newsprint or paper tacked to the wall is a great way of working this out. All canvasses are bespoke so any size (within 1cm) is fine. Price is also discussed. I have not asked for money in advance up until now, and that has worked well for me. If that changes, so will I!>

Then I go away and paint... normally a commission would take me a month or three weeks. If it's more urgent, let me know.
When the painting is finished I will send several photos, normally via email. If you live fairly locally and would like to drop over to my studio I would be delighted to see you. Any changes? I'm really happy to make small changes on the painting, I want you to love your new artwork.
Take a look at the examples,  and let me know what you think.
