Abstract impressionist landscape painting.
I follow the seasons in my painting, and this piece is inspired by the cold winter days we are experiencing. Winter light is cool and skies are often subtle pale tones.
My love of Pembrokeshire, Wales comes through, Abermawr is a tiny cove, surrounded by a stunning coast path. Here you can see seals, surf, walk, swim, and cycle. It's a paradise and I love being here - I visit once or twice a year from my home in Kent and spend time painting.
I love to work with many layers and tones of paint and build these up slowly on my canvasses, I use brushes, rags, palette knives and brushes to create a rich and textured surface on the canvas.
This 100x100cm painting is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
