Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.
I love making very large paintings, working with colours and tones on a large scale is very dynamic and exciting.
This field painting is inspired by the world around me, I live in rural Kent, and my lane is composed of farmland and small wooded areas. the colours of the seasons are a huge influence for me, I walk everyday and take in what's going on. This painting comes from the spring time, when grasses, weeds, hedgerows are all growing.
I made this painting outside, working in natural light is very important to me and try to be outside as much as possible.
This painting has two very small holes in the canvas, due to a little mishap. For that reason I am selling it with a considerable discount. please email me for more information. i can send you some close up photos - it's barely noticeable.
I use beautiful quality acrylic paints, mostly Golden acrylic, and Lascaux, and a large variety of brushes and palette knives, to drip, wash, smudge and paint the surface of the canvas, to create a rich and varied painting.
This 182x122cm painting is unframed, it has white painted edges and is framed with picture cord ready to hang.
