This painting is inspired by landscape, colour and paint itself. I love working on this 50x20cm size, both the scale and format suit working in an immediate and adventerous way.

This painting is inspired by thoughts of the upcoming summer...it's very tantalising when spring buds and growth start, even though days are still cold, the promise is there. What I put on canvas are responses and memories - the experience of being in a landscape.

I have tried to inject as much colour, warmth and vibrancy as I can onto this canvas, which has many many layers of paint to give depth and texture to the painting.

This 50x20cm painting is unframed. it has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
